Opening General Session
6:30 to 8:00 pm
National Update
Each of the 15 financial management conferences has been opened
with an up-to-the-minute analysis of the legislative, regulatory
and legal issues affecting home care and hospice. This session
offers a clear and detailed discussion of what Congress and the
administrative agencies have for home care and hospice in 2009
and beyond.
Objectives:
- Identify current legislative issues affecting home care and
hospice;
- Identify current regulatory issues affecting home care and
hospice; and
- Explain the prognosis for legislative and regulatory action
in 2009.

General Session: HHFMA Leadership Panel
9:15 to 10:55 am
Back by popular demand is the HHFMA Leadership Panel. This session
brings together leaders of small and large organizations, along
with representatives from supporting consulting interests, such
as technology, marketing and business, for a lively, interactive
event. The panelists bring their insights on the current status
of home care and hospice along with the opportunities and challenges
facing providers in the future.
Objectives:
- Identify the critical factors affecting the current and future
status of community-based care;
- Discuss the impact of the growing demand for care and support
of chronically ill individuals; and
- Describe strategies for success in the expanding market for
home care and hospice services.

Financial Managers Forum
Once again, HHFMA presents its open, no-holds-barred forum meeting
to conclude the annual conference. The session addresses any and
all issues of interest to the conference faculty and attendees.
