WASHINGTON D.C. (Nov. 30, 2011) – Val J. Halamandaris, president of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) released the following statement about the nomination of deputy Marilyn Tavenner to the post of Administrator of CMS.

“We commend the Obama Administration for the nomination of Marilyn Tavenner to be Administrator of CMS. Ms. Tavenner brings a wealth of health care experience as a former home care nurse, health care executive and government official at the state level.  During this critical time in our nation’s history as Congress debates the health care system including the Medicare and Medicaid programs, we look forward to Ms. Tavenner’s leadership at CMS.”
