Washington, D.C. (June 11, 2012) – Home health and hospice leaders will converge in Dallas, Texas on July 15 – 17, 2012 for the Financial Management Conference & Exposition designed to address the opportunities and challenges ahead for the industry and to equip home health and hospices with solid direction on how to operate efficiently, deliver consistent, reliable services and expand operations into the new home care opportunities that are developing.

With the changes in the Medicare Home Health Benefit, never has it been more important to learn the best financial management moves for the industry. Attendees will learn how to increase staff performance in everything from cost controls to revenue enhancements and strategic planning. Industry experts will show attendees how to boost their financial muscle and build their bottom line.

Attendees will earn continuing education credits while hearing from industry leaders who will share what has worked for them and how to navigate the future landscape of the home care world.  This conference is co-sponsored by the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) and its affiliate Home Care & Hospice Financial Managers Association.

There are four tracks of learning within the conference including Leadership, Home Health, Hospice and Technology. Leadership sessions will focus on the new opportunities in home care. The home health and hospice tracks will address how to boost each agency’s performance and efficiencies in such areas as: regulatory compliance, costs savings in operations, productivity, patient care management, and much more.

There are also pre-conference sessions available: Hospice Boot Camp, will deliver the knowledge and skills needed to manage hospice operations in this changing environment and Home Health Care Agency Financial Basics, will provide an overview or refresher course designed to establish and monitor agency success.

“The home care and hospice industry has experienced many changes in the past year with further changes continuing for the foreseeable future,” said Val J. Halamandaris, president of NAHC. “Having state-of-the-art financial management skills will be invaluable in meeting the future challenges ahead while at the same time capturing the new opportunities for care in the home.”
